SPLASH FOR CASH INFO

Good evening Dolphin Families, 

Our Splash for Cash Swim a thon fundraiser is just over 2 weeks away! 

Ever wonder how much it costs to run a swim team- about $65,000! That’s right! It all adds up fast: 

San Juan School District pool/facilities fees -  >$25000

Coaches - >$23,500

Insurance - $3500 

Taxes/License, Mailings, PO Box, Website, Awards, supplies, equipment, etc. - >$12000 

Our registration does not bring in enough to cover all of our costs. We have to make up the difference by fundraising. 

We take pride that we are one of the most affordable sports around. To keep our registration fees low we must be successful in our fundraising efforts. 

Our Splash for Cash fundraising goal is $10,000.

What to expect:

  • FUN
  • Each swimmer will swim in their practice group for their time slot and swim as many laps as they possibly can! They can swim any stroke they choose or kick with a board or a mix of both!
  • Each practice group has a designated time slot but come and enjoy the whole evening! We have food, games, fun relays, and raffle prizes!
  • Awards go to the swimmers in each practice group that swim the most laps and the swimmer that raises the most money!
  • Invite your entire family, extended family, and friends to cheer you on! All are welcome!
  • When: Thursday, June 18th 5:00 - 8:30 (instead of practice) 
  • Please arrive at least 15 min before your group is scheduled to swim. Each group will start at their designated time.
  • Please RSVP for this event so we know how many to expect. On our website, under schedule, 6/18 event Splash For Cash. 

Schedule:

Junior Dolphins swim for 15 min (5:15-5:30)

Sea Turtles swim for 15 min (5:35 - 5:50)

Killer Whales swim for 20 min (6:00 - 6:20)

Purple Penguins swim for 20 min (6:30 - 6:50)

Fun Break for Relays and Games 6:50 - 7:15

Narwhals swim for 30 min (7:15 - 7:45)

Water Buffalos swim for 30 min (7:50 - 8:20)

Share the link with your friends and family. Or gather pledges (either flat or per lap) and collect after the event (you have until July 1 to raise money).

All swimmers that raise at least $50 will earn a super cool Dolphin fidget toy/key chain. Thank you to Will Rankin for making these very cool prizes! You will definitely want one!
