NCSL Stroke & Turn Judge and Starter Clinic Rusch Pool Start: 6:30 PM End: 8:30 PM (estimated) For all interested in learning what a Stroke & Turn Judge or Starter does, or even just to learn more of the rules of swim, this a great chance to get all your questions answered! Please use this Link for a video to watch before the meeting. You'll be meeting with USA officials who will explain everything, learn the required sequence of whistles, and see live lessons in the water. Here is an example of a DQ Slip, it's helpful to print and bring with you. Please bring something to take notes with and meet at the dive tank bleachers. |

2025 March Stroke and Turn Clinic
Bella Vista High School
The March stroke and turn clinic is a fun, four-week stroke clinic for swimmers ages 6 to 18. We will spend one week on each of the four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke, in preparation for the upcoming Swim Team season. This program will emphasize proper stroke development using drills, games, and other teaching techniques. When: The March clinic will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays - March 3rd through March 27th Where: Bella Vista High School, 8301 Madison Avenue, Fair Oaks, CA. 95628 Session times are *5:30 to 6:15 pm for beginners, *6:15 to 7:15 pm for the intermediate group, and *7:15 to 8:30 pm for the advanced group. Groups will be assigned by the coach. (*practice times updated and confirmed 2/5/25) COST: $110 per swimmer for the month sesssion Swimmers will be placed in groups according to ability more so than by age. The Beginner group is for those with limited swim team experience who are still learning their stroke fundamentals. The intermediate group is for younger, experienced swim teamers who have efficient flutter kicking, good side-breathing, and have been introduced to all four strokes. They are working to master stroke fundamentals (streamlining, kicking, head position, and breathing/breath control). The Advanced group swimmers have mastered their fundamentals, have good stroke mechanics, and are learning advanced drills/turns. To register, please use the link on our home page under registration.
